As Benjamin Graham often said, in the short run the market behaves like a voting machine while in the long run it acts more like a weighing machine. Just for fun, I am introducing a polling feature on this website. I will post new polls on a periodic basis (probably weekly) on various topics. The first poll asks for estimates of Berkshire Hathaway’s intrinsic value per A share. I posted the rationale for my estimate of $142,000 after the 2008 annual report was released. I believe that intrinsic value is roughly the same today. What is your estimate?
